Annual Events

Mother's Day Ministry

This annual ministry takes place onsite at a transitional housing and drug rehabilitation shelter called His Sheltering Arms in South Los Angeles. A short spiritual program is provided, along with gifts for mothers and a delicious brunch during the month of May.

Autumn Tea Fundraiser

Known as "L.A.'s Finest Autumn Tea," this is the main fundraiser for the year. This is an affair which is both spiritual and classy. Guests are served tea and crumpets in a beautifully decorated atmosphere. There is entertainment, a hat parade and contest (which offers awards and door prizes).

Christmas Party Ministry

Approximately 250 underserved mothers and children are celebrated at Jesse Owen Park. Spiritual entertainment is provided, along with a delicious meal, toys and gift baskets. Guests are invited from Family Preservation agencies and other community agencies that serve at-risk populations in South Los Angeles, Compton, Inglewood, Long Beach, and San Pedro.
